Configuration Menu Items (Config):
|
Serial Port - Make sure that you have configured the serial port
(Config menu) and that the programming cable is plugged into both the
ignition and the computers serial port indicated before programming. The ignition must have power supplied to it during the
programming procedure. To determine available ports click the Detect
Ports and select the appropriate port you are attached to. Newer
Laptops do not supply a serial port output and will require a USB to
Serial Adapter. |
|
| Change Distribution Type -
Pick whether high voltage spark distribution is by Coil
( requires one dual output coil for each pair of cylinders) or is Distributor based
(distributor cap). Distribution can
be changed here or by double clicking the Status Box labeled H.V.
Distr. at the bottom of the screen. |

Optical Encoder/Rotor Position -
Location of the pickup sensor,
indicating Cam or Crank speed can be changed here or by double clicking

Tach Type - A wide variety of tachometers may be used 1,2,H-D,3,4,6
and 8 cylinder tachometers can be used regardless of the engine type the
ignition is configured for. Tach Type represents the type of tachometer
that is connected to the ignition. The value represents the number of
pulses per cam revolution for four cycle engines. The one and three
cylinder tachometers put out the same number of pulses regardless of
Optical Encoder/Rotor
mount position.

| Adjust Sensor -
Sensor #1 and Sensor #2- A combo box
drop down list allows up to two sensor inputs to be configured either as an
analog or digital sensor. If a sensor is configured as analog a
curve transition voltage value must be entered into a text box. The
text box is not visible if Digital
or None is chosen. Analog transition voltages must be in
0.1 volt increments up to 4.2 volts. The Sensors can be changed here
or by double clicking the Status Box labeled Sensor 1 or Sensor 2
at the bottom of the screen. |

| Adjust Fallback RPM -
Select the amount
in RPM's that the engine must decelerate before the previous curve will
