All IDS Users Should Upgrade the Firmware.

Standard firmware for most engines IDSfirmware0402.zip
Firmware for HD dual fire using C1 module Only IDSharleyDual0303.zip

 

Numbering system for firmware:

Standard firmware for most engines - 4.XX  (Current version 4.02)
Firmware for HD dual fire using C1 module Only - 3.XX  (Current version 3.03)

Generally use the highest number available for the appropriate version. 
 

General Firmware Upgrade Instructions:

To upgrade the Firmware, download or open the latest version or the version with the desired function. The file is a  zip file and must be extracted so that the *.pax firmware file is available. DO NOT rename the file. Make sure the IDS program cable is plugged into both the computer and the ignition and that the serial port has been configured in the Config menu.  The ignition must have power supplied to it during the upgrade procedure.  Open the Power Arc Ignition Development System click on the Config menu and then choose upgrade firmware. Select the desired firmware file which will have a *.pax extension. Click on OK to begin the upgrade process.  If the upgrade fails try clicking OK in the upgrade firmware button with the ignition turned OFF and then apply power to the ignition.  See the IDS help files for additional information.
